Asiuwhu Assumes Helm of Environmental Taskforce, Pledging to Drive Positive Change

Earlier today, Mon. 18th of December 2023, the newly appointed Chairman, Taskforce on Environment, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, resumes duty at the head office of the agency, at Asaba, Delta State as he promised to drive a positive change.

Chief Asiuwhu alongside his political associates was received by the Staffs (civil servants & ad-hoc Staffs- Marshalls) of the agency.

In a warm embrace, the director of administration, Amaragbu N. J. (Mrs), on behalf of other staffs, congratulated Chief Asiuwhu on his appointment the Excellency, Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State.
Thereafter, she brief the chairman the working formations of the agency. That is ; Staffs strength, its
zonal offices in Warri, Uvwie, Agbor and others.

Thereafter, she said that, bearing on the antecedents of Chief Asiuwhu , she has the confidence that the agency will have a face-lift in every dimension. And the capacity to deliver on the mandate reposed on him by Governor.

Responding, Chief Asiuwhu, gave thanks to God for this favor, and also appreciated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for finding him worthy to be part of his MORE AGENDA for Delta State.
He therefore stressed that, the governor meant WELL for the Deltans in his MORE AGENDA, that is evidently seen in terms of policies, programs and projects, therefore we can’t afford to fail in the responsibilities assigned him and the agency.
Therefore, I enjoined every hands to be on deck, ensuring a working cooperation among relevant stakeholders to deliver on the mandate of the enforcement and compliance of environmental laws among Deltans , in order to guarantee a cleaned Delta State.
Finally, the meeting dissolved into a close door section with senior staffs of the agency.
